On December 7, 2019 lawyers of MCBA “Bureau of Lawyers “De jure” Vladimir Leonov and Ivan Spiridonov received certificates of successful completion of training on the course “Mediation” in the Russian Academy of Advocacy and Notaries.
“Today, our lawyers are ready to provide all the dispute resolution services required by our clients. The mediation process certainly is based on observance not only of laws but also ethical conduct of the mediator,” – said the first Deputy Head of MCBA “Bureau of Lawyers “De jure” Valentina Petrova.
Mediation, which is becoming increasingly popular, is one of the technologies of alternative dispute resolution with the participation of a third neutral and impartial party – the mediator. He helps the parties of the dispute to come to an agreement by mutual consent.
In Russia, the use of mediation in arbitration and civil courts is regulated by the Federal Law Number 193-FL “On alternative dispute settlement procedure with the participation of a mediator (mediation procedure)”, which came into force on January 1, 2011.
