On May 29, the Online Litigation Forum was held at the Pravo.ru site. Representatives of leading law firms discussed the pros and cons of online justice, how to prepare for the processes in the new reality and how to use technical innovations for the benefit of clients.
Nikita Filippov, Head of MCBA “Bureau of Lawyers “De jure”, made a report on “Document flow with the court in quarantine: life hacks of a litigator”.
The expert spoke in detail about non-trivial ways of interacting with the court, which were used by MCBA “Bureau of Lawyers “De jure” in practice: “The main life hack of the litigator in the conditions of coronavirus is the ability to go beyond the limits at the right time. It often happens that in this rapidly changing environment, no instructions have been invented at all, and in this case, to achieve the task, non-standard approaches can help you. Life itself in the conditions of a pandemic dictates to us the need not to stop if we run into the wall, because it can be circumvented, climbed over, made a tunnel or destroyed. Or maybe there is a door nearby”.
Video courts with participants in the process at home are, in essence, the same judicial life hack, because this form of participation is still not provided for by procedural legislation. At the same time, more than 77 vessels are participating in this improvised experiment, today more than 3 thousand online processes have already been conducted and more than 480 processes are considered every day.
