The Moscow Arbitration Court recovered from a large pharmaceutical company in favor of the Principal of the Bureau of Lawyers “De jure” a debt in the amount of more than 8.1 million rubles under a contract for the supply of goods, as well as interest over 500 thousand rubles under Article 486 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. At the court session, the Defendant submitted objections to the claim, referred to the agreements reached by the parties in electronic correspondence on the provision of a discount and a credit note in the amount of the debt, presented electronic correspondence. Without postponing the trial in the same process, the lawyers of the Bureau voiced reasoned counter-arguments to the Defendant’s objections, as a result of which the arbitration court agreed with the position of the Bureau and collected the debt under the supply contract in full, as well as interest for the period before the moratorium was imposed in 2022. The interests of the Principal were represented by Maria Ovchinnikova, Head of the Department of Legal Support of Contractual and Judicial Work of the Bureau of Lawyers “De jure”.
