The Basmanny District Court of the city of Moscow sentenced three Defendants, whose rights and legitimate interests were defended by Pavel Sorkin, lawyer of MCBA “Bureau of Lawyers “De jure”. Despite the fact that the Defendants were accused of non-payment of taxes and fees on an especially large scale, the creation of a sustainable tax evasion scheme, control of companies that do not conduct financial and economic activities, , as well as in creating the appearance of the movement of goods, the court, taking into account the active position of the lawyer of the Bureau, decided that there were no grounds for real imprisonment and imposed a suspended sentence of four years of imprisonment, with a probationary period of 5 years and with further release from the punishment imposed by it, removal of a criminal record in connection with the application of an act of amnesty, and, in addition, refused to satisfy the prosecutor’s claim in the amount of more than 500 million rubles. Thus, despite the severity of the charges brought and the establishment of the fact of non-payment of taxes and fees in the amount of over half a billion rubles, the lawyer of the Bureau Pavel Sorkin managed to achieve complete annulment of the negative consequences of a criminal and property nature for his clients.

The Ninth Arbitration Court of Appeal left unchanged the earlier decision of the court of first instance to satisfy the claim of a client of the Bureau to recover the debt in the amount of over 2.5 million rubles.  The interests of the Client were represented by Ramzan Mezhidov, lawyer of MCBA “Bureau of Lawyers “De jure”.
