Lawyer, member of the Presidium, Deputy Head of MCBA “Bureau of Lawyers “De jure” Pogodin A.V. and lawyer of the Kazan Bar Association “Paritet” Shemaev O. L. achieved the return of the criminal case of the rector of KNRTU-KHTI for additional investigation.

On April 15, 2021, by the Deputy Prosecutor of the Republic of Tatarstan, A.M.Zaika, based on the results of a series of complaints and a personal reception of Defenders, the criminal case on the charges of the rector of the Kazan National Research Technological University (KNRTU-KHTI), S. V. Yushko, in committing crimes under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of Russia, was returned to the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan for additional investigation.

The Prosecutor refused to approve the indictment due to the lack of evidence of guilt, admitted significant violations of criminal procedure legislation, including the right to defense, and gave instructions in the course of additional investigators to check the arguments and evidence of the defense confirming the innocence of S.V.Yushko.

08.04.2021 the Prosecutor of the Republic of Tatarstan I.S. Nafikov refused to satisfy the complaint of the investigative body, the decision on the return of the criminal case was left in force.
