The Moscow City Court overturned the verdict of the Dorogomilovsky District Court of Moscow and released our Client from custody in the courtroom. Earlier, the court of first instance ruled that the Defendant was found guilty of committing a crime under part 2 of Article 201 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (abuse of authority that entailed grave consequences) and sentenced him to 3 years in prison. But as a result of the well-coordinated work of the defense of the Client: Deputy Head of the Bureau of Lawyers “De jure”, lawyer Alexander Pogodin, lawyer of the Bar Association “Grad” Anton Potapov, as well as lawyer Victoria Demidova, member of the Chamber of Lawyers of Moscow city, it was possible to reclassify the committed act to part 1 of Article 201 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and release the Defendant from punishment due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.

The Moscow City Court satisfied the complaint of the Principal of the Bureau of Lawyers “De jure”, canceling the decision of the Izmaylovsky District Court of Moscow to recognize as lawful the decision of the MADI to impose a fine in the amount of 300 thousand rubles on our Client for the alleged fact of parking the vehicle on the lawn. The case was sent to the court of first instance for a decision on the termination of the proceedings in the case. The rights and legitimate interests of the Principal were represented by Yakov Bulut, Head of the practice of resolving economic disputes at the Bureau of Lawyers “De jure”.
