February 1 Main results of the day

The Moscow City Court considered the petition of the investigator for especially important cases of the Department for the Investigation of Organized Criminal Activities of the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia to extend the term of the Principal’s detention. The court agreed with the arguments of Yuliy Darinsky, lawyer of the Bureau of Lawyers “De jure”, refused to satisfy the petition and changed the measure of restraint against the Principal to house arrest. The criminal case was initiated on the grounds of the corpus delict under Part 4 of Article 159 and Part 3 of Article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (refer to grave and especially grave crimes).
